Symbian is a C++ based mobile OS uesd in smartphones and currently owned by Accenture plc.*.
it was esitmated that in mid 2010 Total Number of phones based on Symbian were 385 million. it was developed by Symbian ltd but in dec 2008 Nokia acquired Symbian and now Nokia has become major contributor of Symbian OS.It is 'third largest used OS for smartphone' after Android OS and apple's iOS in 2012.
