LG

LG corporation is South korean chaebol* ,headquartered in seoul,south korea. its name originated as short form of "lucky &goldstar".total revenue of  LG is approximately 90 billion USD.
in 1947 lack-hui plastic company was  founded by  Koo In-Hwoi .  since lack-hui is pronounced as "lucky" so it was named as "lucky".
and in 1958 company expanded its business and formed a company named as "gold star"* both get merged and became "lucky&goldstar(LG)"in 1995.
(*goldstar was established as electronics ,and it produced south korea's first radio.)
